PURE LONDON X JATC ANNOUNCES EXCITING CONTENT PROGRAMME
Pure London x JATC, the UK’s premier festival of fashion, is thrilled to unveil its exclusive seminar programme for the upcoming event at Olympia Events, from 14-16 July 2024.
Bringing together an international array of fashion designers, brands and buyers, Pure London x JATC provides a vibrant space for collaboration, inspiration and connection. With panel discussions, key trend catwalks and retail insights, speakers will explore sustainability, advancements in technology and enhancing employee wellbeing, as well as presenting the must-have new season’s trends. This season’s seminar programme promises a wealth of unmissable content, making it a must-attend for all those in the fashion industry.
Kicking off Sunday’s programme is Georgia Charalambous, Creative Consultant at Trendhub by BDA London, offering inspiring insights to the must-have colours, fabrics and patterns for womenswear in a session looking at SS25 Key Trends. For those unable to attend, Georgia will repeat this session on Tuesday morning.
Founder of Digital Women, Lucy Hall will be taking to the stage to look at how AI can revolutionise retail. Her seminar, Leveraging AI for Efficient and Effective Social Media Marketing, will offer insight into cost-effective tools to help you work smarter.
Sunday will also see celebrity and fashion stylist Ellis Ranson share practical advice to help equip retailers with tools to transform their customers’ occasion wear into versatile wardrobe staples, and three sustainability experts will look at future trends.
Bianca-Francesca Foley, founder of Sustainably Influenced, Nick Reed, Founder of Neem London and Jospeh Mountain, Sustainability Lead at N Brown will collaborate to offer advice on navigating the complexities of sustainability and debunk some common myths. The panel will also look at the realities of sustainable practices and explain how to navigate them.
Sunday will conclude with the prestigious Pure London x JATC awards, celebrating the exceptional achievements of brands and designers. This event will honour innovation, creativity, and excellence, providing a perfect opportunity to recognise and celebrate both emerging talent and established brands. On Monday, the focus on SS25 continues, with Gwyneth Holland, Futures Strategist at Trendhub by BDA London, delivering an expert overview of key colours, materials and patterns for the season in a deep dive.
Lee Kenny, News Editor at Drapers will lead an inspiring panel discussion exploring the world of independent retailers, featuring the winners of the Drapers Independent Awards 2023, who will share their experiences, challenges and triumphs in indie retail in 2024.
Later on Monday, Andrew Xeni, Founder of Fabacus, Nobody’s Child and Soreto will explore Innovating Retail: The Future of Sustainable Fashion. As a retail and technology entrepreneur, Andrew will explore how technology is revolutionising retail and share insights on his Digital Product Passport technology.
In partnership with the Fashion and Textile Children’s Trust, five influential women in the fashion industry will discuss how leading fashion retailers are enhancing employee wellbeing. The panel includes Janine Jacobs, Co-Founder of HappyHQ, Anna Pangbourne, CEO of Fashion & Textile Children’s Trust, Rachel Walker, CEO of Luxury Lockstitch, Jeannie Eden, Head of People Engagement at The White Company and Charmaine Higgins, People Operations Manager at Boden. Together they will look at some of the most successful wellbeing initiatives and the impact of inclusive work environments.
Wrapping up Monday’s seminar programme, join Anton Dell, Founder of FNAD for an exclusive fireside chat introducing Ricky Green. Ricky’s story saw him build a global wholesale and licensing business to £800m in retail before starting anew. This promises to be both an enlightening and inspiring session.
Throughout the event, Pure London x JATC catwalks will offer continuous inspiration and insights into the latest womenswear, footwear, and accessories, showcasing highlights directly from the show floor. Eight catwalk shows across the three days will bring to life the trends of the new season.
