Pure Presents... number K
We’ve asked our Pure London exhibitors a few simple questions to get to know them better ahead of the AW20/21 show. Meet Karen Gundelwein from number K.
Who or what inspires your designs?
Self motivation and the full range of femininity.
What does it mean to be sustainable?
Sustainability means working against modern slavery. number K uses organic and recycled materials, and works with as many local companies in Germany as possible, to keep transport routes short.
How would you describe London?
London is full of contradictions:
Historic and modern…. shabby and noble…. noisy and hectic and quiet and peaceful…. royalty and working class…
Where in the world is your favourite fashion destination?
I’ve never been there, but I’d love to go to Tokyo… I’d be in paradise there fashion-wise!
This season, Pure London is celebrating creativity without boundaries. What does that mean to you?
For me, creativity is an addiction, a non-stop carousel of ideas. Everyone has equal opportunities!
